About the Tour

Day 1

Upon your arrival at Ljubljana airport, you will be transferred to the hotel. Then, you will have a chance to experience Ljubljana, Slovenia’s capital city and enjoy the breathtaking view from the castle tower. Overnight in Ljubljana.

Day 2

In the morning we’ll visit the Julian Alps together with a beautiful lake Bled and a 1000-year-old castle. Also, we will visit a small island and a church.  Later, we’ll head to lake Bohinj, a location popular among locals. In the evening we will return to Ljubljana for our second night there.

Day 3

Our first destination of the day is Zagreb, Croatia’s capital city. First, we will explore the old part of the town. Then, we will visit Zagreb’s famous art galleries and museums. In the end, overnight in Zagreb.

Day 4

Our tour takes us to the capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina – Sarajevo. First, we will visit the tunnel that is responsible for saving the city during the 1990s war. After we check-in at the hotel, we will visit the center of the city. It is considered to be the border between Eastern and Western Europe. In the evening we will explore the old town Baščaršija. You’ll have the opportunity to try local dishes such as ćevapi, burek, and a variety of desserts. Overnight in Sarajevo.

Day 5

We will start the fifth day of our tour with Mostar and its historical bridge over the Neretva River. Our next stop is Dubrovnik where we’ll spend the night.

Day 6

In the morning we’ll drive to Montenegro to see the Boka Kotorska, the largest fjord in the Adriatic sea and UNESCO site Kotor. After the tour of Kotor with a local guide, we’ll head to Budva. It’s Montenegro’s most beautiful coastal town. Later, we will return to Dubrovnik for our second night there.

Day 7

Our day starts with the visit to Split, Dalmatia’s biggest city. We’ll explore Diocletian’s Palace, Split’s most famous historical site and other interesting buildings inside it. For example Jupiter’s Temple and St.Duje cathedral. In the end, overnight in Split.

Day 8

Our next destination is Trogir, a small medieval town near Split. Enjoy this charming town built on a small island and surrounded by city walls. We will explore the old town together with St.Lawrence Cathedral. Our next stop is Zadar, the former capital of Dalmatia. We will visit St.Donatus and St.Anastasia’s churches and the famous Roman Forum. We will spend the night in Zadar.

Day 9

First, we will drive to Plitvice Lakes, Croatia’s astonishing National Park. Admire many beautiful lakes and waterfalls. Later, we will visit Opatija, a charming 19th-century town where we’ll spend the night.

Day 10

Our last destination is amazing Postojna Cave, one of Slovenia’s most beautiful sites. We will also visit Predjama Castle, built 120 meters above the river. In the evening we’ll return to Ljubljana for our last night there.

Day 11

In the morning you will be transferred to Ljubljana airport and that is where our Ex Yugoslavia tour ends.
