About the Tour

Day 1

Upon your arrival at Ljubljana airport, you will meet your private guide who will take you to the hotel for some free time to relax. In the afternoon we’ll explore the old town. In the end, overnight in Ljubljana.

Day 2

Our first destination of the day is lake Bled and its small island and a castle. Then, we’ll continue the tour of Julian Alps and the other beautiful lake-Bohinj on Mt.Vogel. In the evening, return to Ljubljana for our second night there.

Day 3

In the morning, we will drive to Idrija to visit mercury mine. It used to be one of the largest mercury mines in the world. After that, a walk through the town. In the end, return to Ljubljana for our last night there.

Day 4

Our tour takes us to Škocjan caves, Slovenia’s most beautiful UNESCO site. Later, we’ll head to Croatian largest peninsula, Istria. Our next stop is Poreč where we’ll visit 6th-century Euphrasian Basilica. We will spend the night in Rovinj.

Day 5

We’ll start the fifth day of our tour by visiting Pula and its famous Roman amphitheater. After Pula, we’ll head to Zagreb, Croatia’s capital city where we’ll spend the night.

Day 6

Our day starts with the tour of Zagreb’s most famous sites. For example, St.Mark’s church, Cathedral, Parliament, Ban Jelačić square and others. Our next destination is Plitvice Lakes, one of Croatia’s most famous and beautiful UNESCO sites. You’ll get a chance to see a large number of beautiful lakes and waterfalls. In the end, overnight in Plitvice.

Day 7

In the morning, we’ll drive to Dalmatia. First, we’ll visit Zadar to listen to impressive Sea Organs, look at Salutation to the Sun, visit churches of St.Anastasia and St.Donatus and of course the Roman Forum. Then, we’ll visit Šibenik and its St.James cathedral. In the evening, we’ll drive to Split where we’ll spend the night.

Day 8

Our first stop of the day is Trogir, a small Renaissance town under the protection of UNESCO. We will also visit the St.Lawrence cathedral and city walls. In the evening, we will return to Split where we’ll explore Diocletian’s Palace and old town. We’ll also visit the cathedral of St.Duje and the famous Riva. In the end, overnight in Split.

 

Day 9

In the morning, we will take a ferry to Hvar, one of Croatia’s most visited islands. We’ll visit UNESCO protected town Stari Grad. Later, we’ll visit the town Hvar where we’ll spend the night.

Day 10

Our journey takes us to Bosnia and Herzegovina where we’ll visit Mostar and its famous UNESCO protected bridge. Driving along Neretva River, we’ll make a stop at Počitelj, a charming Turkish style village. Our final destination of the day is Dubrovnik where we’ll spend the night.

Day 11

We’ll visit Dubrovnik’s most famous sites. Some of them are the Rector’s Palace, Cathedral, Franciscan monastery, Old port, and many others. Later, you’ll have some free time and a chance to visit the nearby island of Lokrum. In the evening we’ll return to Dubrovnik for an overnight.

Day 12

The last destination of our journey is Montenegro where we’ll visit Boka Kotorska, the largest fjord in the Adriatic sea. Also, we’ll visit Kotor, UNESCO protected the town and the beautiful coastal town of Budva. In the end, return to Dubrovnik where we’ll spend the night.

Day 13

In the morning, a departure from Dubrovnik airport and that is the end of our UNESCO sites tour.
